UNHCR PSP Internship In Dubai 2024

Are you passionate about CSR, NGOs, and refugee issues? Do you want to make a difference in the lives of those forced to flee? Join us for a dynamic three-month internship with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Dubai. We’re looking for a proactive team player to join our Private Sector Partnerships (PSP) unit as part of the campaign and advocacy team. Apply by April 15, 2024, for a start date on May 1, 2024.

About the Position As an intern with UNHCR’s PSP unit, you’ll play a vital role in raising awareness and funds from the private sector across the MENA region. Working closely with the campaigns team, you’ll support the development of UNHCR’s brand image, campaign communications, public engagement strategies, and more. From screening partners to drafting social media content, you’ll be involved in various aspects of our advocacy efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct due diligence on partners and digital content creators
  • Organize and systemize information on UNHCR supporters and influencers
  • Draft presentations, proposals, and toolkits for social media influencers
  • Research new media outreach opportunities
  • Assist in the procurement of services for creative campaigns

Qualifications

  • Fluency in Arabic and English
  • Undergraduate or postgraduate degree in mass communications, journalism, PR, marketing, or humanities
  • Strong understanding of the media landscape in the region
  • Passion for refugee affairs and UNHCR’s work
  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • Attention to detail and a results-oriented mindset

Location This internship is based in Dubai, UAE. Candidates are responsible for their travel arrangements to and from the location.

Eligibility

  • Recent graduate or current student in a graduate/undergraduate program
  • Completed at least two years of undergraduate studies
  • No immediate relatives working for UNHCR
  • Proof of vaccination against Covid-19 required for recruitment

Conditions

  • Three-month internship with possible extension
  • Full-time role with standard working hours
  • Candidates must arrange their residency visa in Dubai
  • Nationals and candidates with valid residency are encouraged to apply
