The 2024 Payroll Internship offers a unique chance for aspiring professionals to contribute to this noble cause, gaining hands-on experience and expertise in payroll processes. Under the guidance of the HR Manager in the Payroll Section, interns will have the opportunity to create learning opportunities, analyze key trends, and actively participate in the continuous improvement of Standard Operating Procedures. Internship Background:
UNICEF’s Global Shared Services Centre (GSSC), established in 2015, offers services in Finance, Master Data Management, Human Resources Administration, Payroll, and Customer Care. The GSSC aims to be a center of excellence, delivering efficient services globally while fostering a culture of customer service, continuous improvement, knowledge-sharing, and innovation.
Intern Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the HR Manager in the Payroll Section, the intern will:
- Create learning opportunities in Payroll and related HR processes.
- Assist in data analysis to identify key trends.
- Collaborate with stream leads to assess emerging trends in payroll funding processes.
- Review and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Service Gateway step-by-step guides (SGSBS) in payroll.
The intern may also perform ad hoc administrative, analysis, coordination, and support functions within the Payroll Section.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program or recent graduate (within the last 2 years) in Human Resources, Business Administration, Economics, or related fields.
- Fluency in English is essential.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel; Intermediate knowledge of Word and PowerPoint.
- Team player with the ability to work independently.
- Adaptability in a challenging and multicultural environment.
- Self-motivated with strong commitment and drive for results.
- Extreme attention to detail, sound judgment, and discretion.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity.
Contract Duration and Terms:
- Initial 3-month contract with a minimum of 3 days in the office and 2 days remote per week.
- Full-time working schedule: 40 hours per week.
- Intern is expected to be in the office when needed for specific activities.
- Anticipated start date: April 2024.
- Paid internship with a stipend of net HUF 295,633 per month.
- Interns are responsible for travel, living expenses, and medical insurance.
- Proof of medical insurance and required visa or residence permit is mandatory.
