Internship Context:

Under the Directorate of Technical Cooperation and Sustainable Industrial Development (TCS), interns contribute to capacity development, industrial policy advice, and sustainable development initiatives. The Division of Decarbonization and Sustainable Energy (TCS/DSE) focuses on transitioning to a sustainable energy future, addressing energy poverty, and combating climate change through renewable energy solutions and low-carbon technologies.

Internship Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with experienced project managers.
  • Participate in on-the-job training sessions to enhance your skills.
  • Play an active role in shaping the division’s technical cooperation portfolio.
  • Conduct in-depth research on various technical cooperation projects.
  • Analyze the impacts of projects on sustainable energy initiatives.
  • Support special emerging projects to enrich your learning experiences.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Minimum age of 20 years.
  • Currently enrolled in or recently completed a university degree program.
  • Preferred specializations include industry decarbonization, climate resilience, economics, or engineering.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory.
  • Knowledge of another UN language is advantageous.
  • Basic understanding of climate change technologies and policies is beneficial.
