Background:
Under the United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF Kenya 2022 – 2026), our project targets marginalized communities in Northeastern Kenya. We’re collaborating with various stakeholders to promote peace, security, and sustainable development in Mandera, Wajir, and Garissa counties.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist the Project Manager and Knowledge Management and Comms Officer in daily project management tasks.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of communication strategies aligned with project goals.
- Create engaging communication products, including reports and visual content, to raise awareness and drive engagement.
- Collaborate with media outlets to amplify project coverage and visibility locally and globally.
- Support digital communication efforts, including social media management and content creation.

Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, international relations, or related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in digital communication tools and social media platforms.
- Computer literacy, including basic design skills.
Desired Skills:
- Active interest in peace, development, and human rights in Northeast Kenya.
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment and willingness to travel.
- Fluency in English.
