2024 UN Women Internship in Empowering Equality and Health

Exploring UN Women’s Role in Governance and Participation:
Within the Policy, Programme, and Inter-Governmental Division, the Gender Equality, Health, and HIV/AIDS Team focuses on critical priorities in HIV and health sectors. These include promoting gender-responsive HIV frameworks, advocating for women’s participation in decision-making, and ensuring accountability in meeting gender equality commitments.
Internship Details:
Under the guidance of the Policy Specialist, Gender Equality, and HIV, interns will contribute to research, data collection, and knowledge dissemination. Responsibilities include:
- Conducting research and analysis on thematic priorities.
- Updating messaging on Gender Equality, Health, and HIV/AIDS.
- Preparing for international conferences and events.
- Supporting content development for UN Women’s corporate website and HIV/AIDS web portal.
- Assisting in organizing events and webinars around key initiatives.
Competencies:

Required Skills and Experience:

- Possess excellent communication skills in English; knowledge of another UN language is advantageous.
