Tesla’s Software Automation Engineering Internship-Toronto

Tesla’s Toronto Automation Controls team is seeking a Software Automation Engineer to join their team. The position is based in the Greater Toronto Area and expected to start around August 2023 and continue through the entire Fall term or into Spring 2024.

Job Description:

The internship program is open to students pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Computer Science or related programs. The intern will be responsible for developing machine and process concepts and program all controls components from power-on to debug, process fine-tuning, and validation.

Responsibilities:
The internship program will provide exposure to various aspects of controls engineering and the opportunity to work closely with the Manager, Mentor, and team. The selected candidate will be expected to work under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines, possess exemplary verbal and written communication skills, and well-organized with meticulous attention to detail.

The intern must also have a strong propensity to build, assemble, fix and program things and must have programming experience in C++, Python, SQL, or similar language.

The intern must have previous exposure to programming microcontrollers, proficiency with CAD (AutoCAD, CATIA, SolidWorks), and mastery of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
