Indian Institute of Technology Bhubaneswar (IIT Bhubaneswar or IIT BBS) is a public technical and research university located in Bhubaneswar, India.
IIT Bhubaneswar, which is ranked 65th in the NIRF overall category rankings for 2022, is a second-generation IIT. The campus of IIT Bhubaneswar covers an area of 936 acres and is situated in the foothills of Barunei. It is currently operating from its permanent campus in Argul. The college provides courses in Engineering, Science, and Humanities research fields, including one undergraduate degree, two postgraduate degrees, two dual degrees, and a PhD program.
The institute offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in engineering, science, and humanities. Its academic departments include Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Humanities and Social Sciences, and Basic Sciences.

Eligibility
Candidates who are registered for a degree in a government-funded technical institution or those referred by various academies may apply for the internship program. The internship is available in the fields related to the following schools: Basic Sciences, Earth, Ocean & Climate Sciences, Electrical Sciences, Infrastructure, Mechanical Sciences, Humanities, Social Sciences and Management, and Minerals, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering.
Tenure
Selected candidates will have a minimum of three weeks and a maximum of eight weeks during summer vacations of IIT Bhubaneswar (Summer Vacation of the institute: 10.05.2023 to 23.07.2023).
Mode of carrying out the Internship
Interaction with the faculty members can be done in online/offline mode, depending on what the faculty member decides.

Other Information
After selection, a hard copy of the application form along with the requisite documents signed by the student should be submitted at the time of joining the internship in the respective Schools of the Institute.
The students selected for the internship may be provided hostel accommodation, if available, on payment of appropriate fees.
