UNIDO Finance Internship

Join the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) in Vienna and embark on a journey to drive inclusive and sustainable industrial development (ISID) across Member States. As a Finance, Accounting, and Treasury Intern, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting our mission of poverty reduction, inclusive globalization, and environmental sustainability.

Internship Overview:

Under the mentorship of the Managing Director of the Directorate of Corporate Services and Operations (COR), you’ll collaborate with various UNIDO entities to provide essential financial services. Your role within the Financial Services department (COR/FIN) will involve budgeting, financial planning, cash management, and more, contributing directly to UNIDO’s strategic objectives.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Processing invoices and payments for vendors, travelers, and staff.
  • Maintaining information in the grants management module of the ERP system (SAP).
  • Participating in budget revisions and grant closure processes.
  • Studying, reviewing, and updating financial information and structures.
  • Preparing an end-of-internship report for UNIDO Internship Coordination.
  • Engaging in special projects to enhance your learning experience.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum 20 years old on the first day of the internship.
  • Enrolled in a university degree program or recent graduate.
  • Field of specialization: Finance or IT, with knowledge of new technologies such as RPA, AI, blockchain, Big Data, etc.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English; knowledge of another official United Nations language is an asset.
  • Experience with or knowledge of SAP and frontier technologies preferred.
