The ALDO Group is seeking a legal intern to join their North American team for a 10-week period. The Legal Services department of the ALDO Group provides services in various legal practices related to the retail and fashion sector.
Job Description
– Job Title: Summer Law Internship – 10 weeks
– Department: ANA – ALDO North America
Responsibilities
– Legal research
– Collaborating with Legal Services team members for research work on various legal topics related to the company’s operations
– Writing preliminary legal analyses under the supervision of a member of the Legal Services team
– Collaborating in the preparation of legal training for various business units of the company
– Writing and preparing service notes and case summaries
– Participating in the drafting, revision and updating of various types of contracts under the supervision of a member of the Legal Services team
– Participating in the drafting of different legal documents, such as draft letters
– Participating in briefing meetings with the company’s business units

Eligibility Criteria
– Completed first or second year of a law degree
– A strong sense of responsibility and commitment
– Excellent interpersonal skills
– Ability to work effectively in a team
– Sharp sense of autonomy, initiative, and priority management
– Demonstrate curiosity and a good learning ability
– Strong interest in the retail and fashion industry
– Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is an asset
– The work mode for the position is hybrid: 3 days in person, 2 days remote.
– Please note that this is a position for a law student, not a Barreau intern.
