Internship Program at Tesla: HR/People Intern.
Overview :
Tesla offers an internship program that provides the best students with opportunities to grow both technically and personally. The program runs throughout the year, and interns are placed in positions where they work closely with their Manager, Mentor, and team.
The internship experience is aimed at recognizing emerging talent and providing projects that are critical to the team’s success.
Duration and Locations :
The internship is expected to start in May or June 2023 and continue through the entire Summer term (i.e., through August) or into early Fall 2023 if available.
Most internships require a minimum of 12 weeks full-time commitment.
Locations:
The internship locations available are in Austin, TX, Fremont, CA, Palo Alto, CA, and Reno, NV.
Requirements for International Students:
International students with work authorization through CPT are advised to consult their school before applying. However, students must be able to work 40 hours per week, with many students limited to part-time based on their academic standing.
Responsibilities :
As an HR/People Intern at Tesla, you will have the opportunity to work with different areas of HR to support multiple initiatives, such as coordinating new hire orientation and onboarding training, administration of enrollment, attendance, travel, supplies, and materials for orientation and onboarding programs, creating communication for Learning and Development platforms, optimizing and standardizing HR processes and programs, administering best-in-class solutions for benefits delivery, and conducting comprehensive analytics to drive employee engagement.
Qualifications:
To be eligible for this internship role, candidates must be Bachelor’s or Master’s students working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Organizational Psychology, Communications, or related business degrees.
Interns must be available for a minimum of 12+ weeks for the internship and able to work 40+ hours per week. The ideal candidate must be a self-starter, results-oriented, resourceful, analytical, innovative, intellectually curious, and takes risks.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, and the candidate should demonstrate a strong ability to embrace and adapt to change, take initiative, and showcase curiosity. Learning quickly in a fast-paced environment and experience in Microsoft Office tools/programs (Excel, Word, etc.) are necessary.
Previous work experience or internships in a related field and experience in project management are a plus.
