Duties and Responsibilities:

The Social Media and Communications intern, under the guidance of the SDG Integration Communications Specialist, will play a vital role in enhancing the team’s digital presence. Responsibilities include:

Managing social media platforms (Twitter and LinkedIn) by scheduling and publishing posts.
Creating engaging content in line with the editorial calendar.
Analyzing social media metrics to track engagement and support expansion efforts.
Assisting in editorial calendar planning and maintenance.
Researching emerging trends and events to identify new visibility opportunities.
Exploring new social media tools and dissemination approaches.
Providing support for visual design tasks and other ad-hoc duties.

Excellent English writing and editing skills
Strong organizational abilities
Attention to detail
Enthusiasm for global issues and the United Nations
Comfortable working in a multicultural environment
Ability to handle political sensitivities

Required Skills and Experience:

Enrolled in a graduate program or final year of undergraduate program, or recent graduate
Experience in social media management and content production beneficial
Proficiency in Adobe Suite, Canva, and Trello advantageous
Fluency in English required
Proficiency in French or Spanish considered an asset
Availability for at least four days a week
