Introduction:
A small and scrappy sustainable food system startup seeking passionate and motivated individuals to join their team.
Job Opportunity:
As an MBA intern, you will be given ownership of various assignments that will change as business priorities evolve. This position offers high visibility, allowing you to work closely with executives and external parties.
You will be responsible for a range of projects including industry research, market evaluation, investor due diligence, financial modeling, creating infographics and visuals, drafting internal and external communications, and organizing events.
The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record of career advancement and experience in presenting data-driven insights to company leaders and external parties.
They should also have a solid understanding of financial modeling, PowerPoint and Google Slides, corporate finance and accounting concepts, and the mechanics of startup fundraising.
The position reports to the company’s Chief of Staff and requires collaboration with cross-functional teams including Commercial/GTM, Finance, People, and R&D team members.
Education/Experience:
The ideal candidate will either be currently enrolled in, or have recently completed, an MBA program. Prior experience in food tech, venture capital, corporate M&A, and/or growth-stage startups is a plus. A minimum of 4 years of work experience is required.
Salary/Benefits:
This is a paid, full-time role based out of Alameda, California. The intern will earn $40 an hour for at least 10 weeks over the summer, and start and end dates are flexible.
