Job Description
The Area Sales Manager at Jazz will be responsible for coordinating with external and internal stakeholders to achieve regional sales targets. As a part of this role, the Area Sales Manager will lead a team of Territory Sales Supervisors and Franchise Service Executives while reporting to the Regional Sales Head. The primary responsibilities of an Area Sales Manager at Jazz include:
1. Familiarizing with the market area by meeting retailers and franchise owners
2. Mentoring team members, taking ownership of their issues, and ensuring escalation at appropriate forums for improved efficiency
3. Devising plans to increase the sales of handsets, WiFi devices, remittances and postpaid numbers
4. Coordinating with the Commercial Planning team to devise campaigns to increase penetration of Postpaid business
5. Establishing, developing, and maintaining distribution and retail networks throughout the assigned region
6. Implementing company policy with respect to routing of Distribution Officers (DO) for franchise business development
7. Managing the franchise and retail channel by motivating and counseling the concerned and explaining the profitability model
8. Achieving monthly KPI targets such as Postpaid Sales, Remittances, Cash in, MNP, Gross ads, Jazz Cash Wallets, and 4G penetration
9. Collaborating with internal stakeholders like DFS Executives, Sales Operations/Planning Teams, Channel Planning, Regional Technical Teams, and external stakeholders such as franchisee staff and retailers
10. Meeting assigned targets and strengthening the channel.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the Area Sales Manager position at Jazz, an individual must have:
1. 6 to 10 years of sales distribution, channel development, and retail management experience
2. A bachelor’s or Masters degree from an HEC recognized institute
3. Experience working on challenging projects and taking end-to-end responsibility from planning to roll out followed by feedback
4. Motivation to work in remote areas and be a mentor to team members
5. The ability to supervise the sales and franchise management teams and provide guidance to improve the effectiveness of sales and distribution channels
6. The ability to act as a change catalyst and strive towards team development
7. Excellent communication skills to be able to advocate/defend their point of view with professionalism, maturity, and a balanced, holistic view of any competing viewpoints
