Intern at world’s leading Industrial Gas company in Spain in The European Shared Services Center of Air Products that provides an excellent opportunity for interns to work with a multicultural team conducting Accounts Payable tasks for all European and Middle Eastern regions. The internship includes supporting the UK Accounts Payable Team in invoice discrepancies and its resolution.
Job Description
– European Shared Services Center of Air Products is hiring an Intern for 6 months starting in June for their European Accounts Payable Team.
– The team is part of the Supplier Services department and is based in Barcelona and covers countries in Europe and the Middle East.
– The Accounts Payable team provides support in booking invoices and resolving discrepancies to pay the vendors’ invoices.
– The team works in SAP system and uses modules such as Vendor Invoices Management (VIM) to book invoices, ask for information internally and approve invoices.
– The team conducts a monthly audit of electronic invoices.
– The intern will improve and manage some KPIs.
– The ideal candidate will have a high command of English and Spanish or French, a general understanding of finance/accounting, knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel, analytical, process-driven, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving abilities.
– The candidate should be proactive, curious to learn, and a team player.
Responsibilities
– Support the UK Accounts Payable Team by coordinating and resolving invoice discrepancies through Outlook and SAP.
– Audit data of electronic invoices for all European countries.
– Improve and create documentation for process changes in the UK.
– Suggest resolutions of errors and correct them.
– Improve and manage some KPIs.
– Support some current projects by running, analyzing and concluding reports.
– Develop other skills like Excel, communication (written and spoken at the European level), customer support, teamwork, administrative tasks, continuous improvement on efficiency, and ERP SAP application.
