Internship Opportunity: Google’s Student Training in Engineering Program (STEP), 2024

About the Program:

STEP comprises two main components: a development course and an internship. The development course, while optional, aims to enhance students’ technical and soft skills through a series of classes. These classes will provide valuable knowledge to support participants in their academic and professional pursuits. The internship portion offers selected candidates the opportunity to work on core software projects alongside experienced Googlers. Each intern will be mentored by a Google engineer to guide them through their projects.

Start Date: May 10, 2024
Duration: 8 classes held once a week
Location: Google Shibuya office
Language: Primarily conducted in Japanese

Internship Details:

Start Date: August 2023 onwards
Duration: 10-17 weeks (flexible based on project and availability)
Location: Google Shibuya Office

Responsibilities:

Apply theoretical knowledge from computer science courses to practical, real-world problems.
Analyze data and evaluate solutions to effectively address challenges.
Develop scripts to automate tasks and streamline processes.
Collaborate with peers, managers, and teams to support innovation and productivity.
