Key Responsibilities:

English Teacher
The role of a Cher of English (Hourly Paid) is to manage the in-house teacher development program and support, promote quality teaching and effective English learning, and ensure that learners have a rewarding and stimulating language learning experience. This position is intended to support the broader cultural relations aims of the British Council.
The necessary qualifications for a Cher of English include a Cambridge CELTA/Trinity Cert TESOL, an undergraduate/university degree, and a high proficiency in English equivalent to a CEFR C2 user. Desirable qualifications include a Cambridge DELTA/Trinity Diploma or equivalent, a PGCE/B.Ed. in Primary/Secondary or equivalent, and a CELT-YL extension/TYLEC. A minimum of two years of post-certificate experience in teaching relevant age groups is required.
The pay rate for the hourly-paid position is NT$950 per hour, and the contract length is indefinite. The work schedule involves primarily Saturday and/or Sunday availability, and development pathways for professional development and performance management are available, including regular training sessions and access to relevant ESL materials from the British Council library.

The purpose of the role is to provide excellent enquiry and registration services that meet conversion and income targets. This position involves working closely with business teams to resolve customer enquiries in a timely and effective manner.
Responsibilities include welcoming customers and visitors, answering inquiries via phone, email, social media, and web, providing accurate information on all services, guiding customers on registration processes, and building customer rapport.
The role holder will also handle complaints, record customer data, and manage the end-of-day reconciliation process. In addition, the role holder will be responsible for sales and product promotion, upselling and cross-selling services, and tracking conversion rates to meet monthly targets.
