The International Local Authorities Internship Program, organized annually by the Union of Municipalities of Türkiye, offers an opportunity for students from European, Asian, and Middle Eastern countries to participate in an international internship.
This program aims to provide comprehensive training through instructions, practical examples, field visits, social activities, and trips to various cities in Türkiye. All expenses of the participants, including airfare tickets, accommodation, and other related costs, are fully covered by the Union of Municipalities of Türkiye.

The International Local Authorities Internship Program offers internships in various fields, including:
– Law
– Economics
– Urban/Regional Planning
– Sociology
– Statistics
– Communication
– Political Science
– International Relations
– Administrative Sciences
– Other related fields
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible to participate in the program, applicants must meet the following criteria:
– Good command of English
– Last year’s students or recent graduate students from the above-mentioned fields
– IELTS is not required
Requirements
The program does not require applicants to have an IELTS score. However, applicants should have a good command of the English language. Additionally, applicants must be last year’s students or recent graduates from the fields mentioned above.

Over the years, the LOCALINTERNational Internship Program has attracted a large number of participants from various countries. Between 2012 and 2022, more than 300 students from nearly 60 different countries took part in this program.
Internship Dates
The internship is scheduled to take place from 20th to 27th August 2023.
